Drilling - Dust Free

Drilling holes often results in a fair bit of dust and this can be a problem - Particularly when the surrounding decorations are new or delicate. We've all done it, drilled a hole in a newly painted wall only to find that there's a load of red brick dust which ends up marking the fresh new paint.

In the old days, a favourite trick was to tape an open envelope to catch the dust just below the place you were going to drill. Or, holding the nozzle of a vacuum cleaner next to the drill but that usually required a second pair of hands

Well, now there's a better answer with Dust Bubble

They are disposable dust collectors which use a small adhesive pad plus the action of the drill to keep them in place and they catch virtually all the dust.. It certainly makes drilling jobs cleaner and easier as it leaves both hands free and there's no cleaning up or trying to touch up stained paintwork afterwards. When you're done drilling, the DustBubble is simply removed and discarded along with the dust

Step by step guide to using the DustBubble

• Rub the DustBubble between your fingers to loosen up the plastic, remove the backing tape and stick to the wall.
• Pull the label to inflate the DustBubble
• Push the drill bit through the crosshairs on the label and drill, keeping the drill spinning on withdrawal
• Insert the wallplug through the DustBubble to seal the hole. To remove, wrap your fingers around the DustBubble and pinch carefully towards the hole

DustBubbles with regular adhesive are suitable for wallpaper, new paint and most tiled surfaces.

DustBubbles with extra strong adhesive are suitable for wood (inc MDF), plaster, plastic and metal.
