Dear All,
I would be grateful for any advice on the following issue.
I have a home in the North East of Scotland which has an Interior Wall Mould Problem.
The house is of granite build and the Interior Walls on the North side of the property has severe mould issues. I understand that ventilation is key, however as you can appreciate the winter months can be extremely severe and to have the windows open for 12 hours of ventilation, when it is below zero and the family all have colds, is not possible.
I have been advised by some builders to have a stud wall built, but I have my reservations. Firstly would ventilation not have to be drilled into the exterior wall (granite drilling is not easy)? Secondly could this not cause a potentially bigger issue? Lastly how would this all be achieved???
Any and all advice is gratefully appreciated.
John
