Matt finish (soft sheen) laminated worktop has had the sheen removed in places after vax carpet shampoo solution was left for a while.
Any body any idea how to restore please.

Could be perminant and unrepairable. Have you tried a laminate clearner and polish? May bring the shine back into it.
