Hi
New to this forum.
Can anyone help on flaking paint on new plaster, on kitchin wall in, small area only.

I am not a plasterer but sounds as though the plaster is to smooth and the paint is not sticking to it.
Try rubbing down the area, paint on some PVA and then when that's dry give the paint another go.

The other thing that sometimes causes flaking is if you paint new plaster without thinning the first coat. New plaster is really absorbent and thinning the first coat helps with that. If all the moisture of an ordinary coat gets sucked into the plaster you can end up with flaking and powdery finish.
Previous suggestion of pva should sort it out though. Remember to dilute it first
