Hi, I am just about to build a wodden summerhouse/log cabin and I want the floor to survive for ever, what is the best treatment to give the floor that touches the concrete base?

Make sure that the timber is completely isolated so that damp cannot come up through the ground and affect it. Lay a decent damp proof membrane over the concrete before fixing the floor.

Also use pressure treated timber for the floor itself
