Alan Titchmarsh and B&Q have joined forces to announce their “Get Britain Gardening” campaign. The retailer has the largest chain of garden centres and they are hoping for continued growth by revamping 78 of it's top garden centres.
Alan will be providing regular tips and advice through in store leaflets and on diy.com, the B&Q website. He commented that he is passionate about getting Britain gardening and that through the partnership he can reach as many people as possible. B&Q say that they questioned their customers and Alan came out as number one when it came to gardening advice.
The revamps will include improved ranges in the grow your own sections, decorative gardening products, garden buildings and furniture. They will also be selling children's gardening kits and even tools for kids.
B&Q have also introduced a Horticultural NVQ with input from Alan Ttichmarsh which will be available for the garden centre employees.
