Following on from the success of last year’s competition, Screwfix has launched the 2011 search for Britain's Top Tradesman. Last year Any Hunneybel from Essex took the top slot due to his integrity, his customer service and the fact he was able to get his business back on track after a number of setbacks. He says that since winning he has work booked up for months in advance simply from coverage of the award and referrals from satisfied customers.
This year, the winner who is able to show those same traits will be rewarded with a brand new van of their choice from Ford up to the value of £27,000.
John Mewett the marketing director from Screwfix has said that Britain's Top Tradesman is all about celebrating exceptional skills and a commitment to professionalism. He says that they were impressed last year by the passion which tradesman have to their jobs and the lengths which some went to get the best result for their client. He hopes that this award will highlight some of the stories from around the country where tradesmen have gone to all lengths in the course of their work.
Anyone who wants to say why they are Britain's Top Tradesman can do so by logging on to the Screwfix website before April 17.
