A recent survey conducted by Aspect Maintenance, a London-based refurbishment company, has found that 38% of those questioned would put redecoration at the top of their list of most hated DIY jobs.

Kingfisher, the owner of Home improvement giant B&Q has revealed better than expected results for the third quarter of 2009. Profits are up by 28% and pre-tax profits hit £227m compared to £176m this time last year. Profits were forecast as being between £204m and £225m.

DIY Giant Grows Beyond Predictions

B&Q's quarterly figures which have been released today have shown growth far beyond predictions and are being put down to early spring weather and an increased focus on garden projects.

Kingfisher, the owner of B&Q have commented that sales of garden furniture and outdoor paints were higher than usual, although sales of products for the indoors did fall by 10% during the period. Sales of barbecues and outdoor furniture doubled, while there was a 19% increase in the sales of plants.

The five room, plus storage area wooden structure can be purchased for £9,999 which will give customers a handy 19,998 clubcard points, worth almost £200.
